In 2008 was the artist's tenth year at High Desert State Prison. This prison is 350-miles from Los Angeles in the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range and he never received a visit. As a result, he started making cards for $1 to take care of himself. This is one such card, but because he was too shy to sell his work he made no money.
